He studied Graphic Design and Illustration at Harrogate School of Art, North Staffordshire Polytechnic and the Central School of Art & Design, then taught Art in secondary schools in East London until 1988, when he escaped the National Curriculum and became a full-time freelance illustrator / political cartoonist for publications including The Guardian, New Statesman & Society, Times Higher Education Supplement and Punch. Since about 2000, he has been attempting to develop his ideas for books whilst working for a living at this and that.view less
