While not teachers they believe that education in the home plays an important role in grounding children for their long haul through life. They believe that children develop their creative skills and interests at an early age and those skills should be nurtured early on. To insure their children and grandchildren had an opportunity to experience creativity at an early age they began to write stories about them and with them. The idea was to encourage the children to discover new words and ideas from every day events and their interactions with adults and other children to tell a story. When children see their name in print it is much like looking in the mirror to admire one’s self. It is hard to resist.
