He was born in Hastings and attended Hastings Grammar School before embarking on careers with the Prudential and Post Office which eventually led to a move to Bognor Regis. Concurrently he spent eleven years as a commissioned Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, Training Branch and is Chairman of the Bognor Regis Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association. To date he has published eight books on Sussex history. Apart from Sussex history he has a collection of classic British Motor-Cycles.view less
