He studied illustration at Portsmouth University earning 1st Class Honors and now works solely on writing and illustration books for children of all ages. Picture books include Scaredy Cat and Boo - nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal, and young fiction series The Unbelievable Adventures of Jake Cake - with the first book shortlisted for the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize and the Nottingham Children's Book Award.
