Upon moving to the United States, he attended Hebrew Union College after which he rose to become a world-renowned authority on Jewish law, a prolific writer of responsa for Reform Jews, a prolific author and prayer-book editor, and a pulpit rabbi for much of his life at Rodef Shalom Temple of Pittsburgh.view less
