He holds a PhD in Information and Communication Science (Tallinn University, Estonia), a Master’s degree in Digital Library Learning (Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, Norway; Tallinn University; and Parma University, Italy), and a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science (Universidad Central de Venezuela). His lines of research include: informational literacy, evaluation of scientific production, open access, information architecture, and digital libraries. He has published 18 refereed and indexed articles, three books, four book chapters and has presented papers in 26 international conferences; he is an editorial board member in two international scientific journals and a peer reviewer in five.view less
