While his book, which has already gained status as perched in the top 100% of all the books published in 2015, is a much anticipated tell-all of the period from his childhood (kindergarten through college), he wants to set the record straight and squelch rumors about his youthful dreams.
It’s true that he had been best know for his success on American Idol, although it was his back row seat that allowed him to get away with outlandish howling and some really incredible whistling. Numerous stints in the NBA could most likely be attributed to his sideline waving during half time TV interviews, even if the most publicity was garnered from his sidesplitting photo bombs that went viral throughout the NFL playoff games on ESPN. Repeated attempts to appear on a Ted Talk and imitate a mime didn’t get him the traction he so desperately wanted. Blank faces and “Don’t call us, we’ll call you” rejections spoke of career obsessions that were based on his many rarely sought-after talents. His final hope is that Steven Spielberg will pick up his book, especially after factoring in failed attempts to be a ghostwriter in the next offering by Bill O’Reilly. And now, it appears that Zero On Me, built on a humorous view of his childhood that’s sandwiched between two incredibly serious subjects, will become Charlie’s claim to fame.
Charlie currently resides in Bowling Green, Ohio and lives with his best friend and wife, Beth. His children reside in Atlanta, Charleston WV, Chicago, as well as Blowing Green (as nicknamed by the locals who know not of what Chicago winters can do to visitors from the South). He has become accustomed to saying to friends, visitors, and relatives a confident “yeah, that’s in my book,” when they talk about a variety of selected subjects or mention a place, or simply reference any number of situations. It's gotten to the point that a consensus of those receiving this statement have mobilized and are taking donations to have that engrained on his tombstone.view less
