I lived between grandparents in the states of Virginia and West Virginia in my young life between the ages of four thru six.
At the age of seven years old I was deserted by my mom and dad causing myself and four brothers to be placed into foster care. I remained in my foster home until marriage at age 21. My husband and I are the proud parents of three daughters and seven grandchildren. Throughout life I have come up against adversities, and proudly proclaim that one can make it no matter what life deals them. Situations and circumstances can make or break you; you hold the power of decision. Being raised in somewhat of a circular format; left me with a lot of unanswered questions. Lessons learned in early childhood helped me to have fond memories of grandparents who loved me dearly. All of my formatives years I was raised in one foster home with three siblings. It was in this home where I developed my character, life standards, and love for God. We were taught to be responsible; by doing chores, managing time, and sticking together as a family. Being raised in the system has made me value my family and given me the determination that nothing could separate me from my family; except death. In the year 2005 my husband, daughter and I relocated to the City of Charlotte North Carolina from a small city in Western Pennsylvania. My reason for moving was keeping with the standard of not being separated from my family. Our two oldest daughters had decided to move to Charlotte so we followed them; having a desire to be around our grandchildren while they were growing up.view less
