When it was first published, he was an activities director, whose skills were used to write policies, handbooks and articles for both the national officials’ periodical and the national athletics directors association. At that time, The Cross of Lorraine, an historical romance in the vein of Herman Wouk’s famous sagas The Winds of War and War and Remembrance, was quite a departure for this capable writer. Now retired and living in Johnson County Texas south of Fort Worth, Jay spends his time performing in the area’s community theater companies. His writing now consists of adaptions of literary works as well as his own material, including a dramatization of his second novel A Litany of Angels.view less
