When she was old enough to realize that one reason for the Holocaust was the terrible education German children received during the Nazi regime, she decided to devote herself to education.
She came to the US at age 21 and obtained a BA in Education, a Master’s in Education, and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC.
She taught in the public schools and at the college level for 35 years.
For her outstanding work in education, she was honored by the Governor of North Carolina with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine award. The Governor of Kentucky honored her by naming her a Kentucky Colonel.
She wrote more than a dozen non-fiction books on educational topics, among them the best-selling “Mean Chicks, Cliques, and Dirty Tricks.” Several of her books have been translated into foreign languages and are used as teaching materials.
She divides her time between Chapel Hill, NC and Wilmington, NC.
“Killer Lessons” is her first book of fiction, but definitely not her last one.view less
