J.B. has been a bohemian artist, an infantry paratrooper in the jungles of Central America, and a railroader in the cold Appalachians, traveling throughout the American south before finally settling down to bring his pen to bear on paper. His work very often blurs the lines that separate hero and villain, baring the tenebrous humanity in the characters that he writes.
