First she wrote the book and illustrated it; then her teacher instructed her on the cover, and they bound the book. After it was completed, the teacher encouraged Joyce to publish it. Joyce was born in Lancaster County and currently lives in Gordonville, Pennsylvania, with her parents and four siblings.view less
