Stephanie Burton was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. Her parents divorced when she was young, giving Stephanie a step-mother and a step-father. She has a younger sister and b...view moreStephanie Burton was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. Her parents divorced when she was young, giving Stephanie a step-mother and a step-father. She has a younger sister and brother with two step-sisters and one step-brother. As a single parent, Stephanie's mother kept her to a strict Church regimen; giving Stephanie many glimpses of different denominational Religions. She married at 17 and had her first of four children at age 18. Pregnancy guided Stephanie into the decision of Adult night school, where she earned her High School diploma two years later in 1996; being selected to lead the graduating class with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Under her husband's name; Stephanie's first and only preceding poetry submission 'And' was awarded the Editor's Choice Award in July 2004, presented by Poetry.com and the International Library of Poetry for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. At 35 years of age, she now home schools her two sons and two daughters until their High School years. November 2012 will be 20 years of marriage for Stephanie and her husband.
Stephanie believes there are many lies and truths in our everyday Life, and that there are also many Vantage Points to this sensitive balance. She understands that Religion and Sexuality are often conflicting arenas of our lives, where these traditional standards are not to be questioned or debated. Stephanie hopes to inspire an honest opening of the Mind into what moves us and why. It is often said that Religion and Sexuality do not mix, however; they each dictate and dominate our Emotional and Physical Senses. Writing this book, Stephanie expresses a first-hand look at both sides of this Coin. In defining our Religion and Sexuality; she hopes that as a Species, we may enhance our Humanity.view less
