Nine years ago, I read this book for the first time, and this year I decided to reread it so I could read the entire saga since I had yet to read the last one. I've had this book since it was released, and I never opened it because I knew I was missing one from the saga; I thought it was the penultimate book, but it turned out to be the second. As for Beautiful Creatures, I had forgotten a large part of the plot, except for a few important details. It's evident that it's a book from the last decade because of the aesthetics of some characters and certain clichés that were in vogue back then. Thank God it's not so severe (at least for me) that it becomes unbearable to read.
Regarding the characters, I hope that as I progress through the saga, we learn more about them and come to know them deeply because I feel that we still don’t really know who they are.
I also hope that the questions and arcs that were left open are resolved, but since I don’t remember much about the other books, I am completely blank.
