One of the best memoirs and I’ve read a lot. Excellent audiobook narrated by Michael McDonald himself, includes him singing a few versus of What a Fool Believes. He takes us on a journey of his life from his early years in St. Louis to breaking in to the music scene in L.A. as a session musician eventually joining the Doobie Brothers. He opens up about his drug and alcohol addiction and shares how he truly turned his life around. Highly recommend!
