True economy consists in always making the income exceed expenses. Always save a margin of error in favor of the income. It is the eyes of others and not our own which ruin us. If the entire world were blind except me, I should not care for fine clothes or furniture. You cannot accumulate a fortune by taking the road that leads to poverty.
