This is a 500 page book boiled down to 2 1/2 hours - and nobody seems to notice. BOO!

Interesting. My first of more I plan to read. Made me think and crave to have the author's feelings of God and self.

I love this book. Merton has a crisp, openness in his first book. It also expresses the fears and hopes of the lead up to WW II and its beginning.

What an uplifting book of struggle and humility and honesty that Thomas Merton wrote. This man should be canonized.
