About this audiobook
On Nami’s thirtieth birthday, she’s reminded at every turn that her life isn’t what she’d planned. She’s always excelled at everything—until now. Her fiancé blew up their engagement. Her pride and joy, the tech company she helped to found, is about to lose funding. And her sister, Sora, is getting married to the man of her dreams, Jack—and instead of being happy for her, as Nami knows she ought to be, she’s fighting off jealousy.
Frustrated with her life, she makes a wish on a birthday candle to find her soulmate. Instead the universe delivers her hate mate, Nami’s old nemesis, Jae Lee, the most popular kid from her high school, who also narrowly beat her out for valedictorian. More than a decade later, Jae is still as effortlessly cool, charming, and stylish as ever, and, to make matters worse, he’s planning a hostile takeover of her start-up. Cue sharp elbows and even sharper banter as the two go head-to-head to see who’ll win this time. But when their rivalry ignites a different kind of passion, Nami starts to realize it’s not just her company that’s in danger of being taken over, but her heart as well.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I loved this childhood nemeses to lovers romantic comedy based in a tech start up. The banter between Nami and Jae was so cute and that scene with the ramen made me actually laugh out loud.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Investment banker Andrew Falcon is spearheading , the biggest hostile takeover in Wall Street history and counting on a staggering five-million-dollar fee if he can pull it off. But Falcon doesn't realize that he has stumbled onto the secret power of a shadowy organization known only as The Sevens. He discovers a scheme so interwoven in financial and political sabotage, so vast and brilliantly designed, that it staggers the imagination. His only chance to stop it depends on taking overwhelming risks--and learning which of the two beautiful women in his life can be trusted. Andrew Falcon's struggle for survival begins as he tries to outwit his betrayers--and a hidden enemy whose hatred is implacable.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The plot was a little familiar. Shadowy organization of men controlling political events from behind the scenes to further their own interests etc… I usually enjoy books that give insight into a world I’ll never be part of but this one never grabbed me. Each time the ‘protagonist’ was threatened or in danger I couldn’t really feel bad for the guy. After all, he created his own destiny. He shouldn’t have felt put upon, what did he expect playing with the big dogs? The fawning secretary that follows him around and does everything he tells her to (including screwing him) was a bit much. Pretty stereotypical. And the ultimate stereotypical ending with them on a beach in the Caribbean – please! Of course they have defeated the bad guys and came out millions of dollars richer. It was and ending worthy of the hideously untalented John Grisham.
