About this audiobook

TWO WORLDS…ONE DESIRE

Bess Samson was raised in privilege, but always had a thing for Cade Hollister, the rough-and-tumble cowboy next door, even ignoring her controlling, class-conscious mother's warning to stay away from him. But he turned her down—hard. Humiliated, she grew up and moved on, but never truly gave up hope.

Cade has secretly always adored Bess—but is filled with disdain for the Samsons' wealth. Once, the families had been friends, until dark secrets and scandal caused a bitter rift, and now her family won't let him forget his blue-collar roots. But when an accident nearly costs Bess her life, the proud rancher must finally fight for the love he's never forgotten.

Not one of Palmers best. It’s very very long. A little more chemistry would have helped character development.

This was one of the best Diana Palmer books I read. Lovely lovely story about Cade and Bess. Cade is a hard working rancher struggling to grow his ranch. Bess is a debutante from the right side of town. She has loved Cade for three years since he started giving her riding lessons. He knew how she felt but was determined not to return the feelings as he believes she is too privileged and flighty. No substance at all. After a tragedy in her family she has to grow up fast. It was lovely to see how Bess’s character built independently of her demanding selfish mother. Cade was determined to believe there was no future for himself and Bess and tried to push her away all the time. He also believes he is too old as he’s eleven years older. Read this for yourself. The story is a bit longer than normal DP books but you won’t be disappointed. I also enjoyed the narration which was brilliant
