Horrible book. Very sad, depressing and not well written. I felt like I was reading a Danielle Steele Novel. Every incident repetitive about Matilde , Juliette's husband Paul and their children. The blame is on repeat in every chapter.The author wrote paragraphs on unrealistic events. Example. Juliette writes a shirt letter to Elise and the friend Ruth Levy decides to nit nail the letter and hop on a transatlantic ship to deliver it in 3 days. First off, those tickets were expensive to obtain and the ship did not leave regularly from NY harbor. The list goes on and I will not spoil it for yjose who want to read it.

Such a great book! I couldn't stop listening! I didn't see the twist coming but I always learn something new about the past when I read Kristin's books! I agree with Kristin that it's important to learn about history! It does often repeat itself. This story made me think about how lucky I am to have my 2 sons here with me and that we are safe! Great reminder not to take motherhood for granted and also not to take my loving husband for granted either. He would have never done what Elises husband did. He would protect his family. I guess this book reminded me of how lucky I am! Kristin Harmel never disappoints! And although I absolutely loved the book of lost names.. The paris daughter is even better!
