About this audiobook

Now a major motion picture! The exciting and definitive narrative of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.

In Parkland (originally titled Four Days in November), author Vincent Bugliosi “has definitively explained the murder that recalibrated modern America” (Jim Newton, Los Angeles Times Book Review). Releasing this fall, the movie—starring Paul Giamatti, Zac Efron, Jacki Weaver, and Billy Bob Thornton—follows a group of individuals making split-second decisions after this incomprehensible event: the doctors and nurses at Parkland Hospital, the chief of the Dallas Secret Service, the cameraman who captured what has become the most examined film in history, the FBI agents who had gunman Lee Harvey Oswald within their grasp, and Vice President Lyndon Johnson who had to take control of the country at a moment’s notice. Based on Vincent Bugliosi’s Reclaiming HistoryParkland is the story of that day.

Vincent Bugliosi

Vincent Bugliosi received his law degree in 1964. In his career at the L.A. County District Attorney's office, he successfully prosecuted 105 out of 106 felony jury trials, including 21 murder convictions without a single loss. His most famous trial, the Charles Manson case, became the basis of his true-crime classic, Helter Skelter, the biggest selling true-crime book in publishing history. Two of Bugliosi's other true-crime books -- And the Sea Will Tell and Outrage -- also reached #1 on the New York Times hardcover bestseller list. No other American true-crime writer has ever had more than one book that achieved this ranking. Bugliosi lives with his wife of many years in Los Angeles.

Parkland by Vincent Bugliosi. Also known as Four Days in November by Vincent Bugliosi. This book was fascinating, absorbing, and presented the facts of November 22-25, 1963 in a very easy to follow, organized, and engaging manner. I have always been fascinated with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the death of Lee Harvey Oswald, and the abounding conspiracy theories that have arisen over the years. Bugliosi's book laid forth the facts in chronological order based on the evidence and eye-witness testimonies. I loved the movie Parkland, which led me to purchase the book it was based upon. I was a bit worried that I would not be able to stay interested in such a book, but I was completely engrossed. This has led me to purchase Bugliosi's enormous account of the JFK assassination and subsequent investigation by the Warren Commission: Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Parkland (Four Days in November) is the first part of this epic book.I highly recommend Parkland/Four Days in November. It is a fascinating book.
