Concept Creep in Law and Government is interesting because it seems that throughout history plenty think "This is what people and society are like, therefore everything will be fine, we don't need to consider how things can be abused" when in reality many are power hungry, and when such people get their hands on power, surprise surprise, they can't be trusted. The Stanford prison experiment was a good example of that. It's no wonder The USA is unique in the way it was structured. They left one abusive relationship and didn't want to establish another. While purchasing humans for labor was historically the norm around the world, and not ideal, I'm glad we have the tendency to make adjustments. Just because people have formed a mob doesn't mean they're right.

Anything that promotes dismantling civil rights laws is a no go for me. It’s dogwhistling at its finest.
