About this audiobook
In Finally Free, Dr. Heath Lambert, a leader in the biblical counseling movement, lays out eight gospel-centered strategies for overcoming the deceitful lure of pornography. Each chapter clearly demonstrates how the gospel applies to this particular battle and how Jesus can move listeners from a life of struggle to a life of purity.
If you or someone you care about is fighting this battle, there is good news: No matter how intense or long-standing the struggle, Jesus Christ can, will, and does set people free from the power of pornography.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I found this book to be a helpful book that seems to focus on married men. I agreed to review it since my husband counsels many people in our church and we are always looking to expand our library with good resources for people to borrow.
I don't think there is anyone who would argue the fact that pornography is everywhere. Where this book falls a little short is in the area of addressing this issue for women and singles. But then I tend to lean toward the fact that a woman author might reach women better since we are wired different than men and pornography presents itself in a different manner for us (i.e. romance novels, love story movies, explicit conversations, emotional entanglements that lead to imagined encounters, and less toward visual things). So over all I think this book is excellent for married men especially.
Lambert is up front in addressing the fact that he is not writing a book about the porn industry, or the statistics of such. In fact his book is focused on the grace and redemptive personality of God. Through this grace Lambert asserts that men can find the power to overcome the addiction of grace.
This is a short read, but right to the point. Filled with practical helps and advice. I think it is one of the better resources available at the time regarding this particular subject. And I believe that this is one subject that needs to be addressed and handled in a way that will produce long lasting effects.
Thanks to the publisher for this review copy. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Recommended Book #6
If you're ready to be free from the power of sexual temptation - and radically honest - then this book is for you. It's ideal for reading over the course of time - each chapter will take some time to work through - whether for yourself or for someone else you are reading it with. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I can't recommend this book enough
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5"Finally Free; Fighting For Purity with the Power of Grace" is a much needed book for our time. Author Heath Lambert declares that the main reason men turn to pornography is because of arrogance. While many men may have past issues they need to deal with Author Lambert states that arrogance is the one facet that always appears when dealing with this subject matter. This book is filled with examples of real stories of how men struggle with this horrible addiction. Many see nothing wrong with pornography; while others know the devastation first hand of how it has destroyed their marriages and certainly devalue women in the eyes of men. Feasting on porn not only affects the individual doing it, but their spouse (or future spouse), family, friends, etc... It is a very selfish act that is based upon feeding one's own fleshing desires. The way to overcome this addictive, controlling vice is to truly trust in Jesus and live your life completely devoted to Him. This book is a valuable tool for anyone caught in this awful web of deceit. This book was provided by Cross Focused Reviews for my personal review.
