About this audiobook

True stories of hauntings, possessions, and things that go bump in the night.

Built in 1847 on the banks of the Ohio River, the Bellaire House is reputed to be one of the most haunted houses in America. Since the early twentieth century it has earned a reputation as a hotbed of paranormal activity, with reports of apparitions, curses, psychic assaults, and violence.

This is a collection of true ghost stories from the owner of the Bellaire House and the proprietor of the Bellaire House Afterlife Research Center. It is a mix of lurid and heartwarming stories that both entertain and convey to the listener what the dead want us to know. Stories include accounts of a ghostly sexual assault, communications from spirits of slaves (the house was part of the Underground Railroad) and French and Native American ghosts from the eighteenth-century battlefield, and tales of madness.

Sheer raw and beautifully written. Scary and hauntingly good. I kept looking over my shoulders?
Absolutely terrifying and gut wrenching. Loved learning about her story. My heart goes out to those who investigate this place. And for the lost souls of the bellaire house. Heart pounding sweaty palms a great read! Happy haunting my fellow readers.

Sounds like sensationalist claims, written like a B movie horror flick. Seems like there has been heavy exagerations, if not blatant fabrications.

The author goes from essentially not really believing in ghosts to an out right expert and psychopomp. The hints at the end of each chapter are annoying and dont seem to be grounded in anything legitimate, more like a quick skim of online occult and witch pages.

Overall very reminiscent of The Amityville books, seems like an attempt to capitalize on a supposed haunted house. As well seems like the author might be fishing for a movie deal with the hype.

If you're looking for a good ghost story, I guess I would recommend it, if you can get past the narrators cringy performance. If you're interested in real accounts, grounded in reality and real research I would recommend finding something else.

    Oh, and the aliens.

Pure rubbish! The author may truly believe what she is writing but it all seems so highly unbelievable. When you go on TripAdvisor and see all the positive reviews people post it makes you wonder how haunted it really is. Not one review of anyone being the least bit scared. Seriously, one of the supposedly most haunted places in America and not a single mention of anyone being frightened.?
