Zoraida Córdova

Zoraida Córdova is the acclaimed author of more than a dozen novels and short stories, including The Fall of Rebel Angels, the Brooklyn Brujas series, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: A Crash of Fate, and The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina. This is a bloody awesome collection of vampire stories, all so different and captivating. There was only one that was a little boring for me, but I realize it's only because it was about a place and the story that aren't that interesting for me. And there's one that I loved the most, and wanted more of it.

Vampires never get old : tales with fresh bite is an anthology with diverse fantasy and horror stories about vampires.

My favorite story was The House of Black Sapphires by Dhonielle Clayton, especially because of the excellent world building and character depth. I also enjoyed the stories set in today’s time and playing with current topics like social media (Mark Oshiro’s Mirrors, windows & selfies and Zoraida Córdova’s and Natalie C. Parker’s Vampires never say die) or colonialism (Samira Ahmed’s A guidebook for the newly sired Desi vampire).
