- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This collection of Baker's NYT Observer columns range from the early 1960's to 1989, and covers the usual wide range of topics. Deliciously funny observations, many of which are profoundly serious beneath the banter. My, but I miss "The Observer".
