About this audiobook

The day that Hilary and David have been waiting for has finally arrived and as the church bells ring out for the arrival of the bride, everyone's fingers are crossed for the day to go without a hitch. The festivities set the tone for the year ahead and there's more love in the air in Burracombe so planning continues for both Dottie and Joe's and Frances and James's nuptials. There's nothing like a wedding to bring the village together. Times are changing in Burracombe and as young and old embark on new adventures it's time to say goodbye. But with friends like these, a goodbye is rarely for ever, so instead we'll say a very fond farewell.

I couldn’t get past the first five minutes. Absolutely AWFUL narration and a complete letdown after listening to the previous books. Just why?

Brilliant story BUT please record it again with Ann Dover narrating for character continuity, as the change in voice (No offence Janet) spoils the warmth and pace I have come to expect of the Buracoombe books. There are more than 12 books, which I paid 7.99 for on Audible, which works out quite expensive. I only listened to it on here because it was on a free trial. I did listen for two minutes in the Audible version but sent it back because of the narration. I am not alone in my thoughts.

Don't punish yourself and listen to this book. It's terrible. Stop with Number 10. This book's story is irrelevant and the narrator is just AWFUL! Not like Anne Dover who makes the characters come alive. This narrator sounds a little like a chipmunk and she gets quite a few things wrong, too. Suffice it to say the story is not worth the time.
