About this audiobook
Life on the Ship has changed, and for Zax it means a return to the top.
The Pilot Academy finally beckons and Zax battles for position against a competitor who brings a fascinating advantage. Meanwhile, his friendship with Kalare remains strained as he refuses to drop his suspicions about the Flight Boss and the officer's knowledge of the mysterious humans.
As the Ship travels back towards Earth, the Crew visit a series of previously established colonies and discover startling information about their colonists. Zax eventually gains a new friend who unlocks the past, but the knowledge leads Zax to put his faith in someone who could be a powerful ally-or an even more dangerous foe.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Homeward audiobook version. Aubin uses this book to let the readers know how the asteroid was created and the deals that were made to insure it was finished. This plot line points to future events detailed in the next book Rendezvous. Homeward begins after the end of the revolution. Now that the victors are in control the revolutionaries are faced with the ugly question "What do we do now?". This series has not been known for its humor. Aubin introduces situations which if viewed from the right angle very funny. It seems that creating chaos is a lot more easier than creating change or running a spaceship with millions of people. Under the circumstances no one ends up happy.Decision making is a royal pain. The revolutionaries do decide to take the asteroid back to Earth. Beyond that they are faced with big questions who's answers are unknowable. The biggest one is Earth habitable? Who are the others and why are they trying to destroy the asteroid?
This is another well written book by Aubin. It show his craft as a writer. The end of the book portends other up coming major changes.
