- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Really enjoyed with a twist to the end
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Alright story, very predictable and way to many coincidences which make it hard to believe it’s true. Nice romance all in all though
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Firstly, I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway, so let's just get that bit out of the way first!
I haven't actually read anything by Adele Parks before, but was intrigued by the blurb and so wanted to give this one a try.
I thought it was a very interesting book, and touches on some very universal themes (family, marriage, etc). I liked the way that Jo and Dean come together and I found their exchanges very believable, even if I didn't always necessarily like the characters.
I have to say, it did take me a while to get into this book, but once I did it definitely kept me reading. I found myself racing through the final chapters wanting to know how it would end.
I'd definitely recommend this book, and I may well take a look at some of Adele Parks' other works as a result too.
