Reason for Reading: Graphic Spin is my favourite series from this publisher! How delighted I was to see Stone Arch Press had added four of Rudyard Kipling's "Just So Stories" to their Graphic Spin series of fairytales and folktales! Pedro Rodriguez's illustrations are comical and full of expression. The book is set up a bit like a field guide as "explorer" Kipling, introduces us to the animal pre-change and then after the tale, he again presents the new animal post-change. The story is fun and while it's been 5 years since I read the original it seemed to be as I remember it. That is one thing I enjoy about this series, that they replicate the original versions without watering them down. Lovely book, looking forward to reading the other one we have on hand!
