- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I like this book. It is a good book for kids to read. The print is a good size. The ratio of print to pictures is good. It is a Chapter book so kids will get a feel for reading chapter by chapter and they can pause between chapters to do something else then come back to it.
But what I like most about this book for kids is that just like the Spongebob Cartoons, it's funny. Kids will get into the sillyness that is Spongebob Squarepants.
It's the story of how Spongebob first met Sandy the Squirrel. It goes into what Spongebob felt he needed to do to establish a friendship. And what I liked most is, if the parent reads along with the child, the parent can communicate the most important message about the book. The key to a good and lasting friendship is honesty and communication.
Took me all of 15 minutes to read but I can see a young reader getting into it. I highly recommend this book to the young reader.
