More emotionally ruinous prog metal from Swedish dramatists

There is a moment on every EvergreyEven by their sky-high standards, it’s a breathlessly dramatic thing that dares to tinker with a winning formula. At this point, Tom S. Englund could sing about the price of surströmming over some giant riffs and hearts would melt, but is full of signs that Evergrey are refreshing their vision as they march forward. The timely use of synths and other electronics is more prominent than before as and sparkle with futuristic charm. And yet the abrasive swell of guitars that drives is as raw and punishing as Evergrey have ever sounded. Classy, as always.
