Through the local Redfern community I’ve connected with Elder Aunty Margret, one of the greatest and most highly respected First Nations educators in Australia. Aunty Margret has spent her life generously passing on her ancestral stories and her culture’s ancient wisdom. This life’s work continues with the IYORIA Aboriginal Belonging Estate project, which aims to reconnect First Nations Elders to their lifeblood. I am passionate about supporting Aunty Marget and her colleagues to realise this important vision.
