LIVE & BREATHE FABRIC

WHAT I S A BREATHABLE FABRIC?

Determining the best fabrics to wear in warmer weather involves a scientific approach. Fashion manufacturers utilise a mathematical formula to assess the breathability of fabrics known as the moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR). This determines the speed at which moisture and heat transfer from the fabric into the air.

Plant-based fabrics such as cotton, linen, and bamboo are renowned for their breathability, making them ideal choices for clothing in warm weather. Additionally, animal-based fabrics like silk and wool also offer breathability. All of these fabrics allow easy air circulation, effectively wick away perspiration, and help the body cool and comfortable.
