Harry Potter returns to UK coins

Harry Potter has returned to official UK coins with the release of a new commemorative 50p dedicated to a ‘key’ moment in Harry Potter’s magical adventures, this time in collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP).

Designed by Bella Biggs, the coin pays tribute to the themes of friendship and adventure that are integral to the magic of Harry Potter’s story. Its design is from an original illustration seen in the US editions of the Harry Potter stories by JK Rowling. The coin features an image of Harry Potter demonstrating ting his prowess on a broomstick as he seeks to catch a winged key during his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
