The title might suggest a link to some dodgy website, but Ascendant (if we can just drop the ‘.com’) is actually a new squad-based first-person shooter. Yes, there are plenty of those these days so it’s tricky to stand out. But developer PlayFusion claims this one has “serious balls”. Literally.

In a nutshell, you awake from cryogenic sleep a millennium later tomonsters. This post-apocalyptic biopunk world is only inhabitable because of giant Earth Trees, around which humanity has formed bases. But these need to be sustained with ball-like ‘biocores’, or else the tree and everyone around it dies.
