Beat / What does intelligence mean in relation to music?
Hexorcismos / I think that the idea of ‘intelligence’ has to do more with the concept of labor and time. The time and decisions a musician spent making a composition or an artist an artwork, and how they approached that creation is intelligence. So with this definition, the fact that AI shortens the time and labor needed to create a version of a song or track, in its ‘fully automatized’ version, for example with text-to-music AI systems, is a symptom of our times.
