Cannabis in Connecticut

The Connecticut cannabis industry recently recorded its first month of decline in January, one year after cannabis sales began in January 2023. Data collected by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) indicates that approximately $24.9 million in total cannabis sales ($15.6 million in recreational sales and $9.37 million in medical cannabis sales) were reported in the state for January 2024.

The last two months of 2023 leading up to the decline were still showing increasing sales.
