All about naming and shaming

When I eventually shuffle off this mortal coil, please promise you won’t name buildings, streets and hospitals after me.

And statues in my image are also a definite no-no. I’m tired of being crapped on daily by my feathered friends.

I raise this issue half in jest, but it’s worth pondering.

It may well be unintended, but aren’t we showing serious disrespect to the memories of our dearly departed icons when streets, buildings and other public facilities named after them are dragged into disrepute through rampant fraud and corruption, urban decay and government incompetence?
