MOMENTS before Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez walked to the ring for the 64th time as a professional, the broadcast cameras inside his dressing room captured the footage to prove this Mexican idol is unlike many others.
There was no grimacing, no sharpening pads, no pacing as he waited for the signal to face Jermell Charlo at the T-Mobile Arena. Instead, this was simply father and son time before one of the biggest nights of the 33-year-old’s life. The footage showed Canelo and his only son, Saul Jr, shadowboxing against each other.
