oney had never been my biggest priority in life. My husband and I had raised our two children just fine with love overflowing and within the budget our salaries allowed. But when my daughter, Toni, got engaged, I don’t know what came over me. I envisioned a lavish wedding. I imagined what it must be like for the mother of the bride to spare no expense. Just this once, I wished I had the means to splurge on top-of-the-line catering and champagne fountains. I hardly recognized myself, but I believed that God would hear the pleas of a mom wanting her daughter’s special day to be perfect.
