FRANCISCO TÁRREGA Lágrima

Ask a classical guitarist to name a famous composer from the guitar’s relatively short history and one of the first names you will hear is that of Francisco Tárrega, the great Romantic era Spanish virtuoso and composer. Tárrega was born in the Castellón province of Spain in 1852 and during his 57 years helped popularise the guitar internationally, and inspire future generations of players. He was one of the first to benefit from the updated ‘modern’ Antonio de Torres design of the classical guitar that we are familiar with today.
