MODEL CORNER MORRIS 6-8CWT (MINOR) VAN AND PICK-UP

Last month, I looked at hand-built models and the first mass-produced Corgi LCVs to appear. Lledo, established in 1982 by Jack Odell, introduced a 1/43 scale Morris Minor van in their Days Gone range, manufactured in Enfield, London. In 1996, Lledo launched their more detailed Vanguards range. Following Jack’s retirement, Lledo was sold, but receivers were appointed in 1998.

However, Corgi came to the rescue and bought Lledo from the receivers, including the Days Gone and Vanguards names and all the model tooling, which was shipped to China. By 2004, the Lledo name was dropped, continuing as Corgi Vanguards. The Lledo Minor Van casting had thus become
