Trek Madone SL: Speed, style … and that slot.

OUTWARDLY THIS BIKE IS almost identical to that radical frameset we first saw in the first photos of the Madone SLR at the 2022 Critérium du Dauphiné.

It’s a unique design, the seatstay splitting around 3/4 up with a ‘mast’ supporting the saddle. Below this is a surprisingly large IsoFlow cutout. Overall, this is a rare step away from traditional frame design seen on pretty well every bike made in the past 100 years … kudos Trek.

At first glance the Madone SL we have here is very similar to its predecessor. But, other than the colour options, there are two significant differences between this and the generation 6 Madone and they are A: a price reduction and B: a slightly lower grade of carbon – 500 series OCLV instead
