Make Office Better

MICROSOFT WORD

Create collapsible headers in documents

When you’re working on a lengthy Word document with lots of headings, it’s a good idea to make them collapsible. That way, you can expand and read only the sections you want, rather than scrolling endlessly through the document to find what you’re looking for.

You canmenu – we chose ‘Heading 1’ ( in our screenshot). When a heading is collapsed, all the text below will be hidden. This will be indicated by an arrow to the left pointing at the text, as with our ‘Hotel options’ heading . When a heading is expanded, it will rotate 45 degrees, as in the ‘Flight options’ header . Simply click these arrows to expand or collapse your sections.
