No such thing as a bargain…

AFTER over 20 years of faultless operation, the gearbox in my Series IIA V8 has finally broken. I don’t begrudge it one bit, it has done incredibly well and I have always enjoyed telling the naysayers that yes, you can indeed run a Rover V8 with an original IIA transmission. Contrary to popular belief, the set-up works really well and you actually aren’t forever changing gearboxes.
