DINING ROOM

Homeowners Rebekah and Rory Burnett’s Citta dining table is positioned to take full advantage of the views through sliding doors on one side and a panelled window on the other.

DECK

Plans for a pool were temporarily shelved and replaced with an enormous deck, which has turned out to be the best decision for the family. “It’s almost 70sqm and it’s created a whole new living space for us,” says Rebekah. The weatherboard cladding is Palliside, which gives a traditional look, but doesn’t need painting. The hanging chair and outdoor lounge setting are both from Mitre 10.

stunning sunsets over the hills, a sparkling glimpse of harbour, room for chickens and children to run, with perfect privacy, the home Rory and Rebekah made on their rural property is the Kiwi lifestyle dream perfected and a hard-earned reward
