No matter how old we get, the prospect of brushing our teeth always feels like a chore.

With the help of electric toothbrushes, a lot of the hard work is taken out of the daily clean. However, prices of electric toothbrushes can range from anywhere between £10 and £800 if you’re in the market for an AI-powered device like the iO10 from Oral B.

We spoke to Dr Deepa Vakil, Lead Dentist and Clinical Director of Yor Dental for some insight into just what makes a toothbrush effective, and whether cheaper models could do the trick just as well.
