THIS HORNBY crane model is one inherited from the Lima range. Whilst not the most accurate model crane on the market, there is no denying its play value and robustness. It is fun to use and the functions to operate the winch and the jib are easy, quick and allow for positioning. It is also good value for money. It could be used to represent a crane on a private railway network, such as a steelworks, albeit one that is probably larger than those used in practice. If portrayed in industrial use then it is likely to be in a neglected condition.
