To step down from gymnastics after Olympics
Six-time Olympic medallist Max Whitlock is retiring from professional gymnastics following the Paris 2024 Games this summer.
Britain’s most successful gymnast, 31, with three Olympic golds to his name, said it was the right time to step down and he is “excited and motivated” to be trying for his fourth and final games.
“I feel extremely fortunate to have found such a huge passion and something I have loved for so long,” he added.
